2 Circle Sponsors 26th Run & Fun Walk for Hospice
PATUXENT RIVER, MD — 2 Circle Inc. (2 Circle), a small, veteran-owned business that specializes in the transition of technology to warfighting capability, will sponsor the Defender’s Cup at the 26th Run & Fun Walk for Hospice of St. Mary’s County. The event will take place at the St. Mary’s County Governmental Center on Saturday, April 15th, 2023.
Hospice is a nonprofit service that provides physical, psychological, and spiritual care and comfort to terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice also offers grief support to families and community members who have experienced a loss.
Since 1996, Run & Fun Walk has raised more than $850K for Hospice of St. Mary’s County, helping the nonprofit provide comfort, care, and support to the terminally ill.
To further support Hospice and its mission, 2 Circle will sponsor the Defender’s Cup. Originally, the competition was established to celebrate the Navy’s presence at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Southern Maryland. Over time, the Defender’s Cup has evolved into a popular and patriotic event that honors and recognizes the sacrifice and legacy of U.S. Veterans.
In 2023, for example, the Defender’s Cup will be dedicated to St. Mary’s County Veterans of World War 2, including:
The competition is open to teams of active duty and retired military personnel, civil servants, defense contractors, and their families. The winning team will have their name and year engraved on a plate that is permanently attached to the trophy.
