Meet 2 Circle’s Newest Software Solutions Department
2 Circle’s mission is to transform the future by bringing the right people together to overcome complex challenges. In 2018, the company was tasked by the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) stakeholders with one of its toughest challenges yet — building a software product line that would transform the way that U.S. forces conduct readiness assessments.
Since then, a small team of innovators and software developers has been working tirelessly on a software program called RAPID. Today, 2 Circle is proud to announce that the Software Solutions team has been organized as a new, independent department within the company, led by Brad “Meat” Gilroy, a former Naval Aviator and TOPGUN graduate. The new department will continue development of RAPID for the Department of Defense (DoD) while also looking to expand into new markets.

The establishment of Software Solutions Department outlines a way forward for 2 Circle to empower and align employees and business units in order to achieve the company’s mission and vision. “We need to focus and rally around a unique product — 2 Circle’s RAPID software. As such, we need to allocate the right leaders and innovators to this challenge,” said Kevin “Wolfy” Wolfe, Chief Executive Officer. “Brad will bring the right leadership, creativity, and direction a small organization needs to succeed.”
Brad Gilroy has been involved with TAP since its inception and was a key contributor in developing the analytical processes that are still used by the team today. Based on his extensive knowledge of DoD training and warfighting requirements, Brad co-invented RAPID in 2018 with Dave “Poof” Harris, Technical Director, to fill critical gaps in the current readiness assessment processes.
The software is a single, common solution for conducting performance assessments on all platforms, missions, and operating environments. It extracts relevant data from disparate sources, presents it in an easily digestible format, and then logically walks users through the process 2 Circle developed for conducting readiness assessments. In short, RAPID automates the processes used by TAP and RATPAC to transform the way that squadrons are manned, trained, and equipped. The software is on a path to transition to a U.S. Navy (USN) Program of Record in FY25 and is currently being integrated into both USN and U.S. Air Force (USAF) training environments.
